The Philadelphia 76ers' own Andre Iguodala has been named to the 12-man USA roster to represent the country at the 2010 FIBA World Championship, according to a press release issued by the Sixers this afternoon.

“It is an honor to not only represent my country, but also the 76ers organization and the city of Philadelphia during the World Championships in Istanbul, Turkey,” Iguodala said. “I am truly looking forward to this experience as we continue our quest to bring home the gold medal for the United States.”

Iguodala has been playing small forward and power forward during exhibition games leading up to the 2010 FIBA World Championship, beginning later this month. In the team's most recent game against Spain, Iguodala started at the power forward position.
